Simon Coleman from Nikon entered the First National Caterham Graduates Championship and runners-Up race at Snetterton so I went along to give him some support.

After a champagne dinner courtesy of Nikon (I think) – I fell asleep watching the tennis. Sorry to all those tennis fans.

Press event with Canon to Paris to the 2000 UEFA Champions League final where Real Madrid vs Valencia played at State de France in Saint-Denis. This was the first time in the Champions League or the European Cup that two clubs from the same country competed in a final.
We also had a trip to Paris to see L’Arc de Triomphe de l’Etoile and a church but I cant remember which one!

Nikon hosted an event at Palmer PromoSport in England – the Motorsport Experience 96

It was a thrilling day competing against other editors, journalists and retailers in a variety of motorsports events.

League division two game with Sheffield Wednesday playing at home to Middlesborough.

Wisewood junior school used Hillsborough swimming baths for swimming lessons. At the baths, now a Weatherspoons pub called Rawson Spring, we could earn swimming certificates, starting at 25 yards. Public baths at that time were built to the imperial standard before metrication (25 yards = 22.86 metres).
