Nordic Giants live at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. Went with Gerald Garratty. Support was Athousandfurs

I saw Shield Patterns play at the Rocking Chair in Sheffield. It wasn’t a very busy gig and I spent a while talking with one half of the duo Richard Knox who’s also owner of the fantastic label Gizeh Records.
Band of Hope Union supported by Jakob at Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds with Gerald Garratty.
Saw Wolf Alice at the Leadmill with Gerald Garraty. They were supported by the Magic Gang and Crows. Wonderful gig and great atmosphere. There were a few of us oldies but most of the audience weren’t old enough to buy a beer! Much bouncing around from a very enthusiastic crowd.
The first time I was asked to hand my camera in. Loads of people with compacts and phones were allowed to take photos, but I wasnt…sulk! Not happy with the Leadmill for that.
Steven Wilson on the Hands Cannot Erase tour at Bridgewater Hall Manchester with Gerald Garratty
We we very high up in the centre gallery but central, but the sound was excellent, as were the visuals.

.Another night at the Electric Spring Festival, University of Huddersfield to listen to two electronic artists works, played in a darkened room to an audience of around 100 or so. First off was Olivier Pasquet and his piece β Pictoris b and then Robert Henke’s 45 minute sonic piece titled DUST.
The legend Steve Hillage with Miquette Giraudy play as System 7 at Holmfirth Picturedrome supporting The Orb. Two very dance orientated sets lasting three hours.
System 7 and the Picturedrome Audience

The Orb

Exclusion Principle and Lost Garden each played a set at a new Sheffield venue last night…upstairs above Eten Cafe on York Street. Both groups joined together at the end to perform what the called a “sonic jam” I was near the front and didn’t have a wide enough lens so this shot combines two photos: Martin Archer , Hervé Perez, Andy Peake and Nick Robinson from one, and drummer Peter Fairclough on the other.
