Photo365 – Day 206 – Apple

My first real computer was an Apple Mac Classic. It had a 40Mb hard disk and 1Mb RAM. You had to go to weird shops in out of town industrial estates where you had to make appointments to visit. Software was unheard. That was 1991. Over the years I stuck with the brand and went through various models…occasionally it would seem like they were taking some market share, especially in blips where PC World stocked one model and a few bits of software. Something happened a few years ago with the introduction of cool iPods and glossy Macbooks and then came the iPhone that turned things around. Now you can’t move for Apple products…and I have a brace of items.

So today, as homage, I’ve photographed part of my older Apple G4 Powerbook with the iPhone 4 and used a new hipstamatic lens I just downloaded.

Photo365 – Day 205 – toll

Currently spending time travelling back and forward on a road with a toll bridge. This man sits in a box several hours each day collecting 30p from every car driver. If a driver doesn’t have 30p he has to turn back. It’s been known for the toll collector to ask other drivers to pay for one without any money who doesn’t want to turn back.

Photo365 – Day 204 – shadowman

A self portrait of sorts. I was in a room and noticed a reflection from a mirror hitting the wall and creating a rainbow shaped letter H. I took a few pics of that and spotted that the actual window light was also strong and part of my shadow was in the frame so I repositioned myself and balanced the shot creating this result.

Photo365 – Day 203 – Brew …ery

A close up of bubbles in a beer bottle. I purposely cropped tight on the word brew and shook the bubbles around until they uncovered the word in the glass. Taken with a Pentax K-5 and 100mm macro backlit on a light table using a Elinchrom light as the backlight.

Photo365 – Day 199 – the case

I took this old case into Sherwood Forest with a mask to do some surreal self portraits. I decided to take a few of the case, mask and saw on the floor of the wood and liked this one. It’s full frame…that angle was the result of placing the camera on the camera case for support and it slipped, the view on the LCD was interesting so I stuck with it.
Taken with the Olympus EP2 and the 14-42mm MkII zoom.

Photo365 – Day 198 – Fairy filter

This is a self portrait taken through a full bottle of lemon fairy liquid. I quite like the soft effect that make me younger and the unusual distortion.
And that’s photo365 picture number 198
