Photo365 – Day 152 – Letter Y

Letter Y is a meat fork and the result of pushing the Pentax K5’s ISO to the limit. Well judging by the result perhaps not the limit at all. This is set at max of ISO25600…yes there is the double nought it’s truly twenty five thousand six hundred ISO. It’s for the alphabet part of my photo365 project and shows how amazing the K5’s low noise is.

Photo365 – Day 151 – Clumber Park Chapel

A quick cycle around Clumber Park provided me with an alternative across the lake view of the chapel. Taken with the Olympus EP2 and 17mm lens. I included the tree branches as foreground interest.

Lovely field of poppies but they were blowing too dramatically in the wind, and I only had the iphone with me so here’s today’s photo…the best of a bad bunch.

Photo365 – Day 146 – Letter V

Letter v of my alphabet sub section of the photo365 project is the side of a perfume bottle photographed upside down. 10 marks if you know what perfume. I really like photographing glass at the lens’ widest aperture because i like the way the edges and textures reproduce. I recall back to my first experience of this when shooting 5×4 film of two wine glass bottles, the result I got from the Polaroid test was wonderful – one of my favourite photo experiences.

Photo365 – Day 144 – birch tree

A birch tree has been surrounded by saplings in a woodland project near our offices at the Turbine. I spotted it while cycling past and grabbed it with the iphone. There’s the remains of a tree protector  lying on the floor to the side dwarfed by the ancient birch. The colours are as created by the hipstamatic.
It forms part of my photo365 project.
