The clematis is out, and it’s raining – cue tonight’s photo. Clematis flower on a wet patio table.

A shot taken tonight at Meadowhall, Sheffield for my photo365 project. It’s taken with a NeinGrenze compact that’s specially designed for miniature photography effects. I thought I’d try it for normal photography to see how the adjusted lens works. It’s quite an interesting effect.
Letter Q didn’t take long to find. I thought about a circle with something sticking out and then went on the hunt for the right shape. I found it in the bathroom in the form of an aluminium liquid soap dispenser. It looked rubbish lit normally so I got the DIY ringlight out and dropped the ring over the dispenser to create the outline lighting.
This forms part of the alphabet set in my photo365 project.
This year I’ve been so busy that I’ve neglected the garden…and in doing so have experienced some new colours due to flowers on plants that I’d normally pull up before they flower. I think this is a weed, but I’m not sure, it looks like a variety of dock leaf.
Making the most of local subjects for my photo365 project I shot this on the Pentax k10D and 100mm macro lens.
Tonight I went to see In The Nursery at the Sheffield City Hall’s Memorial Hall. Several musicians where playing including Sheffield musician Matt Howden performing as Sieben.
The stage lighting was minimal so I had to rack up the ISO to 4000 and shoot with the lens wide open, to get a decent shutter speed.
