Photo365 – Day 327 – Worksop Cinema Phase 7

Those who’ve been following my blog will be aware that I’ve been documenting the building of Worksop’s new cinema. I went a few weeks ago and little change had taken place since phase 6 so I didn’t post my photo. Then I had a week away.

So this morning before work, now the nights are drawing in, I visited the scene to find fencing has been put up preventing me from standing in the same spot! Doh…I couldn’t have predicted that. Now I cannot complete my timelapse. Here’s a view from the other side of the pillar I used as a reference point.

I need to choose a new spot to finish the series. So I moved across the road and will do a front view, which actually looks better but it’s a busy road so there’s usually cars parked or passing.

I got an iPhone Microscope in for review, so here’s a shot with it…an abstract pattern at x60…can you tell what it is?

Photo365 – Day 324 – jelly bean

This is a single jelly bean shot with the Olympus EP2 and toy lens with +10 macro adaptor on the front. The focus point is never centre and the blur, aberrations, vignetting and weird focus points make the shots a little odd, but I like the effects. The jelly bean was on the carpet and I shot with the lens resting on the floor for support. I focus by moving the camera in and out until I get the right parts sharp.

Photo365 – Day 323 – airplane wing

Taken today through the window of the plane on the flight home from Gran Canaria – after spending a week in gorgeous 23-27degree heat and sun. iPhone and hipstamatic.

Photo365 – Day 322 – Wind Surfer

A wind surfer at Pozo Izquierdo in Gran Canaria, taken using the Olympus Pen EP2 and 40-150mm lens set at 150mm.
The water was quite tame so there wasn’t much major action. It seems they can jump several meters in the air on active days.

A sculpture found on the Paseo Costa Canaria in Playa Del Ingles. I used the hipstamatic camera in the iPhone and chose grainy black and white film mode.

Photo365 – Day 319 – boat repairs

A walk in the boat yard at the marina of Puerto de Mogán provided a good opportunity to shoot people restoring their boats. I have a closer shot of this chap but like this version for the sense of scale. Taken with the Olympus EP2.

Photo365 – Day 318 – fairground

This is of the big wheel at the Holiday World fairground in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. I mounted the Olympus EP2 on a tripod to hold it steady for a 10sec exposure at f/22 ans ISO200.
