I was asked to document the Holy Crow Record label launch event at Shakespeares in Sheffield. The label has four artists who each performed a mini set and these were followed by two DJs. Here are a few of the photographs taken.

Panasonic Lumix G1 Press Launch was at Wembley Stadium. They asked Vicki Butler-Henderson (Fifth Gear) to give a presentation. It was great to see Vicki again as we’d been on journalist courses together when we both worked at EMAP. After lunch we had a tour of Wembley Stadium

Pentax W60 Launch Cornwall. Pentax organised a surf lesson and a spot of surfing at Newquay. It was the first time I’d been surfing – I nearly managed to stand up! The W60 held out well, being hit by a surf board and drowned on several occasions.

Panasonic launched their compact Panasonic Lumix LX3 in Monaco, France. I flew Leeds Bradford to Nice on Flight LS24. We stayed in the Fairmont, 12 Avenue Des Spelugues, Monte Carlom, Monaco 98000
They organised a walking tour of Monaco and a photo shoot on the harbour with a model and vintage car and two models on a scooter.
The LX3 performed really well. Sadly I lost some of my best pics taken with it due to a drive / folder error. No idea where they vanished, but they also disappeared from the back up – as if by magic!

Olympus launch the E-520 Launch in London. We met at the Amber Bar, Baltic Restaurant 74 Blackfriars Road SE1 8HA and then headed over to the Gerkin to eat on the 38th Floor 30 St Mary Axe London

Olympus launched the Olympus E-3 pro spec dslr in Istanbul, Turkey
We stopped in the Marmara Pera Luxury Istanbul Hotel and during our stay we ate at Guney Esnaf Restaurant, Can Restaurant, Lala Restaurant & Pudding Shop, Restaurant 360, Galata Tower . We visited the Spice Bazzar, Grand bazaar, Blue Mosque + Hagia Sphia , Boat Jetty – Bosporus Excursion, Limonlu Bahce (lemon Garden) and Banks of Bosporus
A model was arranged and we had a a few pros on hand who had been using the E-3 and were explaining some of their portrait techniques.

Nikon flew photo magazine journalists and retailers out to Dubai on the BA 107 London to Dubai to launch the Nikon D200 digital SLR camera. I was in Seat 51C. We stayed in the Hyatt Regency Hotel and ate at some fine restaurants during our stay. The itinerary was as follows:
Tuesday 7th
Arrive late evening.
Wednesday 8th
6-10am Buffet breakfast in the Kitchen restaurant.
10:30 Product Launch in Pearl rooms.
12:30 Lunch in Foccacia Restaurant Hyatt Regency.
13:30 Break out sessions.
15:00 Photo challenge one: Walking tour of Souks.
17:30 Photo challenge two: creative lighting Dhow Sunset Cruise along Dubai Creek with pre drinks and canapes.
19:30 Gourmet Seafood Dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant at the Yacht Club.
Thursday 9th
06:30 Breakfast and photo challenge three: Sports mode at Godolphin Royal Stables and millennium Grandstand.
11:30 Breakout press sessions at the Hyatt.
13:00 Buffer lunch in Al Dawaar Restaurant – revolving restaurant.
14:30 Action Arabian Adventure – City to Desert in 4×4 Jeeps. Dune bashing and sand skiing followed by sunset champagne and canapes.
20:30 Dinner as Spectrum on One at Fairmont Dubai Hotel.
