Filmed on Create! Week 20 for .tv

I was invited to be a judge on Create! – a program, presented by Alasdair Scott and filmed at a small studio in Brixton. It was shown on satellite tv and had two contestants, Helen Niland and Adrian Parr, who competed in a head to head Photoshop challenge, while myself and Steve Caplin watched and commented on their progress and then chose a winner. It was my first appearance in front of a camera and was an enjoyable, but long day to film a 30min piece.

I kept the story board to show how the program was panned and ran.

Apex Gig

Today I found myself on stage in front of the entire Apex House publishing teams performing a few songs we rehearsed for a few weeks before hand. I was with my designer Chris and Marketing manager Tim, plus his assistant Rani and several other people from other magazines in a band we’d named Things in Black.

I’m not sure the reworded Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da to Publishers we Love you was a cool thing to do but Chris and I  just went along with the whole thing and quite enjoyed the moment.

Can’t remember who the drummer was 🙁

After the gig, which seemed to go down quite well, we received a cool letter from MD Lloyd Wigglesworth.

At the Ivy with Ilford

Ilford’s Christmas Press Lunch was at The Ivy (in The Private Room) in London, England

Very posh restaurant with an equally posh set menu – sadly I was vegetarian at the time so I didn’t get to enjoy what would have been a beautifully cooked piece of meat. Pasta anyone?
